Hošek Contemporary Prize 2026
Despite the current situation of our venue being unclear, we would like to move forward with our annual prize and award three artists with an opportunity to exhibit or perform at our gallery:
-1st prize: 1700 € for an exhibition OR performance for up to 3 weeks
-2nd prize: 1500 € for an exhibition OR performance for up to 2 weeks
-3rd prize: 1300 € for an exhibition OR performance for up to 1 week
The application (maximum five pages) should include the following:
-proposal for a site-specific exhibition or performance with visualisations (to create visualisations, download images HERE)
-short artist statement and CV
-budget (if it exceeds the value of the prize, please include a proof of external funding)
-preferred dates
The proposed production must be a new body of work/premiere.
We will not consider traveling exhibitions or repetitions of a previously presented performance. The project has to be realised between March-November 2026.
Artists are welcome to use our 100 m2 performance space (capacity of 70 people sitting) suitable for dance, theatre and music OR the 150 m2 exhibition space.
